The Formula

Step 1: Daily wage = Basic salary รท 30

Step 2: For service years 1-5: Daily wage ร— 21 ร— years

Pro-Rated Months

The calculator does not round years. If you worked 4 years and 7 months, it calculates:

  • 4 full years at the first-tier rate
  • 7 months (7/12 = 0.583 years) at the first-tier rate

Example โ€” AED 12,000 basic, 4 years 7 months, terminated:

  • Daily wage: AED 400
  • 4 years: AED 400 ร— 21 ร— 4 = AED 33,600
  • 7 months: AED 400 ร— 21 ร— 0.583 = AED 4,900

The Two-Year Cap
